Job Title:

Postdoctoral Position in Laboratory of Dr. Steve Almo

Job Description:

The laboratory of Dr. Steven Almo in the Department of Biochemistry at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine seeks postdoctoral applicants.  Our lab has excellent capabilities in protein expression, mechanism and structural biology, with a strong focus on T cell immunity and biologics development.  We are looking to recruit a scientist with experience in mammalian protein expression/purification, as well as experience with chemical and enzymatic approaches for the covalent modification of cell surface and secreted molecules to yield new potential biologics.

This program seeks to develop efficient strategies for the attachment of functional domains, imaging agents, affinity tags, and small molecular modulators to a wide range of immune regulatory proteins for the realization of novel strategies to study and treat malignancies, autoimmune diseases and infectious diseases.  The Almo lab offers an outstanding working environment with state-of-the-art infrastructure in high-throughput eukaryotic expression, functional annotation and structure determination, while the College is home to internationally acclaimed experts in modern immunobiology.

Interested candidates should contact Steven Almo:  steve.almo@einstein.yu.edu. Please provide a CV and the names of three references.
