Welcome to the web site of the Belfer Institute for Advanced Biomedical Studies. The function of the Belfer Institute is twofold - to provide a focus for integrating all postdoctoral training programs at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and to serve as an advocate for postdoctoral issues. We have recognized for many years that postdoctoral researchers play an essential role in our scientific productivity, and the success of our research endeavors at the College are inextricably linked to the quality of our postdoctoral colleagues. Our goal is simple….to provide the best possible scientific and social environment for all of our postdoctoral researchers.
The Belfer Institute is directed by a senior member of the research faculty who is responsible for overseeing the academic and “quality of life” aspects of the postdoctoral experience at the College. Working with the Director is the College’s Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs and the Belfer Institute’s full-time Administrator.
The Belfer Institute Office is located on the Jack & Pearl Resnick Campus, 1300 Morris Park Avenue, Belfer building, room 915, Bronx, NY 10461.
