Receiving Top Honors at National Conference
Medical students Kedong Wang, Audrey Chang, Corey Fulcher, Joanne Anthonypillai, and Vivy Tran
Einstein medical students Kedong Wang, Audrey Chang, Corey Fulcher, Joanne Anthonypillai, and Vivy Tran recently traveled to Boston, where they attended the sixth annual conference of the Consortium of Universities for Global Health. The focus for this year’s conference was Mobilizing Research for Global Health.
The students presented a poster describing their work in Ethiopia, where they had spent the summer following first year supported by Einstein’s Global Health Fellowship Program. Their poster, “Understanding Knowledge and Attitudes about Breast Cancer and Its Treatment in Ethiopia,” won first prize in the Non-Communicable Diseases and Injuries category. An article about their work, conducted under the guidance of Dr. Carol Harris, appears in the January-February 2015 issue of Annals of Global Health.
