Getting Started with Promotions

Event Description

This two-hour virtual workshop will help you learn about and prepare for promotion to associate professor on the Clinical Educator Track (CET) at Einstein. During the first hour, participants will learn about the specific guidelines for promotion in the CET track and about preparing the CV in Einstein’s format. The second hour will focus on building the teaching portfolio required in the CET track. Workshop leaders will share samples of successful CVs and teaching portfolios.

By the end of this workshop, participants should be able to:

•Evaluate their readiness to pursue promotion in the Clinician Educator Track (CET);

•Construct a CV using the required Einstein format; and

•Begin building the elements of a successful teaching portfolio.

This session is part of our "New Medical Educators" series where we introduce participants to basic topics in medical education and career development.
