Career Day for Women in Science and Medicine: A Coach Approach to Career Development

Date: Wednesday, April 25, 2018  Save to Calendar

Time: 8:00 AM To 4:00 PM

Location: Lubin Dining Hall, Resnick Campus

Event Description:
This year’s Career Day for Women in Science and Medicine will focus on the role of coaching in career advancement. A Coach helps others identify their goals and values and then align actions through accountability. The day will be led by our own Dr. Elaine Schulte along with Drs. Andrea Sikon and Susan Rehm, both from Cleveland Clinic. Cleveland Clinic’s Center for Excellence in Coaching and Mentoring operates several successful Faculty Coaching and Mentoring Programs, designed to help basic scientists and clinicians gain self-awareness and develop new skills that enhance their personal and professional lives throughout their careers. They are excited to share some of these transformational skills with us at Einstein. Building relationships is critical for success in science and medicine; and coaching is a truly unique skillset that can be translated into a variety of aspects of our professional lives. Whether you intend to coach others or are looking to be coached, you will benefit from this full day symposium. Come join us to meet and hear these remarkable women, network with others and celebrate your career! You will not want to miss this day!

Target Audience:
Due to space constraints, participation in workshops sponsored by the Office of Faculty Development is limited to individuals with faculty appointments at the medical school. Thank you for understanding.

Elaine Schulte, M.D, MPH
Andrea Sikon, M.D., FACP, ACC
Susan Rehm, M.D.
