Excel Part II: Formulas and Functions

Event Description:
This workshop will expand on the basics of Microsoft Excel 2010 by teaching participants how to write and combine formulae and use some of the built-in functions to allow them to perform at a high level in Excel. These tools will make even the most complex calculations relatively easy to perform and will allow participants to effectively analyze and display their data. The instructor will also provide ample hands-on time to practice these advanced topics. This workshop is perfect for anyone who wants to become more efficient in Excel. After taking this workshop, participants will be able to: Explain the difference between a formula and function; Create and use range names; Write simple and complex formulae; Describe the various types of cell references; Identify the parts of built-in functions; Use functions for editing text

Target Audience:
You must have taken Excel Basics, or have a working knowledge of Excel in order to get the most from this course.
