Building Your Teaching Portfolio

Event Description:
Faculty members will not want to miss this opportunity whether or not they have begun to think about academic promotion. This workshop will explain the key components of the Teaching Portfolio, clarify its relationship to the CV, and show participants how to structure it to summarize their educational accomplishments. Sample portfolios and worksheets will be available to help learners draft their portfolios. At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to: • Review the role of teaching in Einstein promotions • Compare the CV and teaching portfolio structures • Review and critique sample portfolios • Begin drafting sections of the portfolio

Target Audience:
Due to space constraints, participation in workshops sponsored by the Office of Faculty Development is limited to individuals with faculty appointments at the medical school.
