Faculty Development

Giving Educational Feedback

Date: Wednesday, November 29, 2017  Save to Calendar

Time: 9:00 AM To 11:00 AM

Location: Price Center, Room 251

Event Description:
Medical school faculty often feel uncomfortable giving direct, behaviorally based feedback on performance to any learner in the clinical setting. This workshop is designed to help participants apply clinical communications skills to enhance the effectiveness of feedback situations. During this session, Dr. Milan will review key elements for effective feedback and give strategies for framing the feedback in terms which are beneficial for any learner. This workshop is critical for medical educators working with medical students, residents and fellows.

Target Audience:
Due to space constraints, participation in workshops sponsored by the Office of Faculty Development is limited to individuals with faculty appointments at the medical school. Thank you for understanding.

Felise Milan, M.D.
