The Department of Medicine's quality improvement is a proactive organization-wide approach to improve performance and quality of care.

QI initiatives strive to improve patient safety, effectiveness, patient-centeredness, timeliness, efficiency, and equitableness.

Peer Review
Peer review is a consistent, impartial, professional method to improve organizational performance and hold physicians accountable.

Measurement and Reporting
The success of Medicine's QI effort is determined through patient and physician satisfaction, peer review, and regulatory compliance adherence.
