Lewis Eisen Named MICU Medical Director at Moses

Lewis Eisen, MD (Critical Care) has been appointed to the position of Medical Director of the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) at the Montefiore Medical Center Moses Division, effective October 1, 2009.
Dr. Eisen trained in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine at Beth Israel Medical Center under the mentorship of Drs. Mark Rosen and Paul Mayo. He is a national expert in the use of ultrasound and echo in fluid critical situations. He was elected by Montefiore housestaff for the Outstanding Full-Time Teaching Attending of the Year award for academic year 2008-2009.
Daniela Levi, MD, the current Medical Director, is entering the Carnegie-Mellon Master of Medical Management Program, a move considered to be of great long-term value to Montefiore Medical Center. This program was recently ranked as the top MMM program and one of the top five physician executive programs in the country, according to a 2009 Modern Healthcare survey of graduate business schools for physician executives.
