Reunion 2013 Honors the Class of 1963
Einstein's 2013 Reunion got off to a rousing start on Wednesday, May 29, with a Welcome Luncheon for members of the 50th Anniversary Reunion Class of 1963. The next stop for many luncheon celebrants: Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall, where they joined alumni from the other reunion classes (graduation years ending in 3 or 8), to march at Commencement.
The Hilton New York Hotel was the site of a Gala Reunion Dinner for all nine reunion classes on Thursday, May 30. Joy and excitement reigned as old friends and former classmates reconnected.
The festivities culminated on Friday, May 31, with Alumni Day on Campus. Harris Goldstein, M.D. '80, welcomed guests to a morning symposium in the Michael F. Price Center for Genetic and Translational Medicine/Harold and Muriel Block Research Pavilion’s Ethel and Samuel J. LeFrak Auditorium. The symposium was titled "Proactive Diagnosis and Treatment of Disease by Genome Sequencing and High Resolution Imaging of the Heart and Brain."
The day concluded with a luncheon followed by guided tours of the Jack and Pearl Resnick Campus led by Edward Burns, M.D. '76, executive dean and professor of pathology and of medicine, and Nadine Katz, M.D. '87, professor of clinical obstetrics & gynecology and women's health, medical director of Montefiore-Einstein Hospital, and vice president of Montefiore Medical Center.
Plans are already underway for Reunion 2014 which we be held on Wednesday, May 28- Friday, May 30, 2013, celebrating reunions for the Einstein classes of 1969, 1974, 1979, 1984, 1989, 1994, 1999, 2004, and the 50th anniversary reunion of the Class of 1964.
