Diagnosing Heart Failure

Richard Kitsis, M.D., explains the signs cardiologists look for when diagnosing heart failure, including sounds from the lungs and heart that can be heard through a stethoscope, listening to the patient and analyzing tests. Dr. Kitsis is professor of medicine (cardiology) and cell biology, director of the Wilf Family Cardiovascular Research Institute and the Dr. Gerald and Myra Dorros Chair in Cardiovascular Disease.  (February 15, 2013)
