John Greally, M.B., B.Ch., Ph.D., explains, in layterms, the basics of epigenetics (the study of inheritable changes in gene expression that don't result from changes in DNA sequence) in normal human development, aging and heredity, as well as research on its role in cancer, diabetes and infectious diseases. Dr. Greally is director of the Center for Epigenomics at Einstein and attending physician, pediatrics, The Children's Hospital at Montefiore.
