Construction of M. tuberculosis knock-out library @ AECOM TB RESEARCH GROUP

LIST OF THE GENERATED KNOCKOUTS OF M. tuberculosis H37Rv

This is an incomplete list of the genes that have been knocked out and the corresponding Mtb mutants which have been generated and stocked in the Jacobs' Lab. Close to 100 knock-out clones have been constructed so far. All mutants have been tested and confirmed by Southern DNA analysis and by DNA sequencing of the deletion sites.

The mutants have been constructed using the specialized transduction phage strategy, with general improvements made recently in the lab, allowing the whole process to be performed in a "high-through-put" manner.
