Diabetes Prevention and Control

Services

TRANSLATIONAL AND EFFECTIVENESS/EVALUATION SUB-CORE (TEC)

• Facilitates the development and implementation of prevention and control interventions for widespread translation

• Assists investigators in conceptualizing and implementing comprehensive evaluation methods (including choosing appropriate surveys) to support translation research

• Promotes community involvement to reduce diabetes-related health disparities in the high-risk, low-income, predominantly minority communities of New York City and elsewhere

CLINICAL RESEARCH FACILITATION SUB-CORE (CRF)

• Facilitates diabetes-related clinical and translational research. The CRF provides assistance and consultation to investigators at multiple stages of research design and implementation

• Enhances opportunities for clinical and translational research collaboration related to prevention and control of diabetes

• Provides training in research methods specific to diabetes-related investigations
