Operetta_analysis_panelRobot_2The shRNA Core Facility is equipped with state-of-the-art robotics and assay equipment, shared with the Macromolecular Therapuetics Development Facility.

Assay equipment includes:

    • Fluorescence intensity

    • Absorbance
    • Time-resolved fluorescence

  • Operetta High-Content Imaging System
    • Suitable for shRNA-based or other arrayed screens
    • Both fluorescence and brightfield imaging
    • Confocal and non-confocal imaging
    • Digital phase contrast
    • Eight excitation and four emission filters (green, blue, red, far red)
    • Environmental control chamber (temperature and CO2) for live-cell imaging
    • Option of collecting data as a time series
    • Sophisticated image analysis software for identifying and quantitating a wide variety of cellular parameters
    • Xenon arc lamp
    • 2x, 10x, and 20x objectives
