Postdoctoral Position Available in Cancer Research: Cancer Biology

Job Description:

The Mani Laboratory, housed in the Chanin Building, at the Departments of Medicine, Genetics and Pharmacology and The Cancer Institute and Einstein-Mount Sibnai Diabetes Research center of The Albert Einstein College of Medicine, INC, has an open position for a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to be part of an expanding research program on novel aspects of the mammalian microbiome.

Laboratory Research Focus and Expertise:  The laboratory is currently investigating changes in oncogenic signaling by nuclear and other kinase receptor systems using gastrointestinal cell lines and organoid cultures.

Postdoctoral Expertise Required:
1. Recent doctoral degree or equivalent (e.g., MD or MD/PhD or PhD) and/or early postdoctoral training exposure.
2. First author publication record from PhD
3. CRISPR-Cas9 or similar gene deletion technology(ies) and fundamental molecular/cell biology skills.
4. Prior experience in cancer biology is preferred.
