Postdoctoral Position in Department of Medicine

Job Description:

Seeking motivated and gifted postdoctoral scientists with strong molecular and cell biology backgrounds, as well as experience with rat and mouse models of natural and induced diseases, including survival surgery.  Exciting and multidisciplinary projects are available for cell therapy research directed at liver failure or genetic conditions with studies of adult, fetal and stem cell-derived cells.  Experimental systems incorporate mechanistic studies of liver injury and liver regeneration, differentiation of pluripotent stem cells into liver cell lineages, genetic manipulation of cells and/or intact animals, next-gen nucleic acid sequencing, or microarray technologies with bioinformatics approaches for data analysis, and testing of novel cell or drug-based therapeutic strategies in animal models for translation to clinical trials.

The Jack and Pearl Resnick Campus at Albert Einstein College of Medicine offers interactions in an outstanding academic environment and houses multiple NIH Centers of Excellence and Research Institutes in a pleasant Bronx neighborhood.
