The Einstein Journal of Biology and Medicine

Open Access Policy

In collaboration with the D. Samuel Gottesman Library of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and the Web and Interactive Media Division of the Philip and Rita Rosen Department of Communications and Public Affairs, the Einstein Journal of Biology and Medicine (EJBM) is able to make available all issues of the journal through the use of Open Journal Systems. All published manuscripts are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported License in conjunction with the EJBM Copyright Transfer Agreement. Through generous grant support from the Office for Medical Education EJBM is able to produce all issues without a publication fee.

Manuscript authors retain full rights to their manuscript and may use all or part of their manuscript for any future works by: (1) notifying the journal in writing and (2) indicating when re-used that the work was originally published in EJBM. Readers are allowed to read and download for their personal use all EJBM articles. All other individuals who wish to reprint, translate, or otherwise use a work published in EJBM must request permission from the journal. All commericial rights to published work are retained by the journal.

EJBM Copyright Transfer Agreement  

As an author of this manuscript, I either 1) approve the submission of this work and all subsequent revisions for publication and transfer, assign, or otherwise convey all copyright ownership to the work in whole, in part, in abridged format, and materials contained in the work and grant the right and license to publish, republish, and reproduce in any language, format, or media (including without limitation, print, electronic, or any other media) distribute reproductions, adapt, publicly perform, and display the work, the material in the work, or any part there of, as well as the right to sublicense any or all of the foregoing to The Einstein Journal of Biology and Medicine or 2) the work described in this paper was done as part of my employment with the federal government and is therefore in the public domain.
