The Fellowship in Child/Adolescent Psychiatry participates in the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP). All applications must be submitted through the Electronic Residency Application Service, ERAS. Residents will be selected based on their preparedness, ability, aptitude, academic credentials, communication skills and personal qualities. We interview for 4 First Year Child Psychiatry positions.

The following lists the materials used for evaluation of all resident candidates:

Trainees are eligible for acceptance into the program after completing a PGY 3 or PGY 4 or a post-graduate chief resident year in Adult Psychiatry. In general, residency education in child and adolescent psychiatry obtained as part of the curriculum for general psychiatry may not count toward residency education in child and adolescent psychiatry.

However, certain clinical experiences with children, adolescents, and families taken during the period when he/she is designated as a child and adolescent psychiatry resident may be counted toward a fourth year in general psychiatry as well as toward the child and adolescent psychiatry program requirements.
