
U.S. News & World Report (via HealthDay) interviews bioethicist Tia Powell, M.D., about a new study that found advanced directives, also known as living wills, are very important in shaping the care that's provided to patients and reduces the cost of end-of-life care, which accounted for more than one-quarter of total Medicare spending last year.
