Fellowship Training Experience
Tracks
Adult and Pediatric, with extensive cross training.
Inpatient and Outpatient Activities
Weekly inpatient consults for drug allergy and desensitization, aspirin desensitization, eosinophilia, asthma, immunodeficiency, food allergy, and problems of unknown origin. Outpatient evaluation and treatment for the whole range of hypersensitivity and immunologic disorders. Fellows' involvement in allergy extracts and in-patient drug desensitizations.
On-Call Schedules
Fellows take one-week consult call blocks every three or four weeks.
Lectures and Conferences
Required weekly allergy and immunology lectures, journal clubs, grand rounds, and courses; medical school lectures open to fellows; annual professional meetings.
Electives
Adult track fellows design their own elective rotation schedules based on educational needs and interests.
Research Opportunities
Fellows undertake laboratory-based, clinical, or combined research depending on their interest.

Career Guidance
Fellows attend NY Allergy Society meetings and the annual meetings of the American College of Allergy, ACAAI and the AAAAI.
Evaluation and Feedback
Informal feedback throughout the year and regularly scheduled, biannual evaluation sessions.
