T Cell Tolerance

Macian Lab

     Lab1      Fotolab1

Our lab's goal is to elucidate the mechanisms that are responsible for the induction of immunological tolerance. Specifically, we are interested in understanding the molecular events that are responsible for the induction and maintenance of T cell anergy and the function of regulatory T cells.

Our lab is also interested in identifying the mechanisms responsible for the dysregulation of T cell function with age, with special emphasis on the effect of aging on the role that the cell proteolytic systems may have in the regulation of T cell activation and tolerance.

Graduate students are welcome to rotate in our lab. Here,  you will gain experience in the field of Molecular Immunology, working in projects aimed to discover the molecular processes that control T cell activation and tolerance.
