Research
Lisa Korostowski, PhD, recently joined Einstein as a
postdoctoral Fellow in the Ostrer lab, where she is focusing on utilizing
genome-wide studies to predict the metastatic impact of cancer on the body and
determine potential treatments. Dr. Korostowki recently received her
doctorate degree in Molecular Biology and Genetics from the Fels Institute for
Cancer Research at Temple University School of Medicine, in Philadelphia, PA.
Her graduate work focused on tissue-specific epigenetic regulation within an
imprinted domain. An understanding of how regulation normally occurs in a mouse
model can provide further insight into the alternations needed in the disease
state. Lisa received a BS in Biological Sciences from Rutgers University
in 2008.
