Laser Raman Spectroscopy
*************************************************************************

The Raman measurements are made using the instrumentation shown below. The output light from a laser is focused to a ~ 30 micron spot on the sample cell. The scattered light is collected at right angles to the excitaion laser beam and focused onto the entrance slit of a 1.25 m polychromator (Spex) where it is dispersed and detected by a charge coupled device camera (Princeton Instruments).
