Susan Klugman, M.D., discusses chromosomal microarray, a new prenatal genetic test. Dr. Klugman was involved in the new study published in the New England Journal of Medicine, providing samples from her patients for testing. The study found that the new technique surpassed standard testing in detecting chromosomal abnormalities. However, test results are not always definitive and may provoke more questions than answers. Dr. Klugman is associate professor of clinical obstetrics & gynecology and women's health at Einstein and director of reproductive genetics, department of obstetrics & genecology and women’s health, Montefiore Medical Center.
