Fourteen members of Einstein's AMWA chapter attended the American Medical Women Association's annual conference, held in Washington, DC in mid-March.
During the conference, second-year medical student Lauren Tannenbaum presented a poster titled, "Cancer Chemotherapy in Severely Resource-Limited Settings: an Ethiopian Case Study." In addition, third-year medical students Jacquelyn Shaw and Emily Weber Suh served on the conference's student planning committee, attending monthly planning meetings. Ms. Shaw also organized a student session that focused on professional development, the healthy mentoring relationship and specialty networking.
Other students who attended the conference included: Alta Berger, Melissa Bhikham, Donya Eizadkhah, Patience Gallagher, Kimberly Gergelis, Carly Hirschberg, Karen Hsu, Nina Kim, Alana Lewis, Sunita Sridhar and Evan Tamura.
