On Friday, September 14, 2012, Einstein’s Ruth L. and David S. Gottesman Institute for Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine Research will host the 2012 Einstein Stem Cell Institute Symposium. The event promises an afternoon of insightful presentations, featuring outstanding leaders within the stem cell field.
Presenters include Dr. George Daley, a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Investigator at Harvard Medical School; Dr. Kathrin Plath, of UCLA’s David Geffen School of Medicine; Dr. Toshio Suda, of Keio University’s Graduate School of Medicine, in Tokyo; and Dr. Andreas Trumpp, of Heidelberg University’s German Cancer Research Center.
"We’re excited to host this first symposium at the Stem Cell Institute, which will feature the latest research on induced pluripotent stem cell and reprogramming, as well as cancer and hematopoietic stem cells,” said Dr. Paul Frenette, director of the institute. “The symposium will foster collaborations between Einstein faculty members with leaders in the field, and embolden our developing program toward new heights of research excellence."
