Responding to an invitation from Einstein students representing their Global Health Club and Students for Integrative Medicine group, 15 practitioners of complementary and alternative medicines gathered in Lubin Dining Hall on March 6, 2012, to share information and demonstrate their modalities with all attendees.
This Alternative Medicine Fair was the first event of its kind to be hosted at the College of Medicine, and the enthusiastic, positive response from the students, as well as from the volunteer practitioners, sets an optimistic tone for future gatherings.
Myriad modalities were represented, ranging from acupuncture and Ayurveda to Reiki and reflexology, as well as yoga, medical hypnosis, holistic dermatology, applied functional science and integrative nutrition.
