Dr. Einstein specializes in preventing and treating gynecologic cancers, particularly cervical cancer. He has studied vaccines and other ways to prevent human papillomavirus (HPV) infections, which cause nearly all cases of cervical cancer. His expertise has been cited by The New York Times and CNN and he is active in policy-making on cervical cancer prevention with the World Health Organization, American Cancer Society and the Society of Gynecologic Oncologists.
Dr. Einstein is chair of the Gynecologic Cancer Foundation’s National Cervical Cancer Public Education Campaign and a program leader of the Gynecology Division of the New York Cancer Consortium, which advances cancer care through research and education. He also serves on the HPV working group of the AIDS Malignancy Clinical Trials Consortium, a National Cancer Institute-supported clinical trials group that performs innovative trials for AIDS-related cancers.
