Date: Wednesday, July 18, 2018

Time: 9:00 AM To 11:00 AM

Location: Price Center - Room 251

Event Description:
Running effective meetings is a crucial skill that leaders need to develop. Not only are meetings integral to academic life, whether with colleagues, superiors, or employees, they are critical in moving your agenda forward. During this workshop, Dr. Nadine T. Katz will guide participants to learn and practice techniques essential for running successful meetings. She will review the nuts and bolts of running a meeting such as: the need to have the correct participants; your role as the leader of the meeting; and the do’s and don’ts of dealing with participants. She will also share ideas on how to bring out the silent participants as well as how to respond to suggestions without squashing them. Finally, Dr. Katz will cover what to do after the meeting and how to follow-up to effectively achieve your goals and lead to success.

Target Audience:
Due to space constraints, participation in workshops sponsored by the Office of Faculty Development is limited to individuals with faculty appointments at the medical school. Thank you for understanding.

Speaker:
