Professional Interests

The role of mismatch repair (MMR) in preserving genomic stability and its function in the molecular mechanisms underlying meiosis. Analyses of mutations in different members of the MMR gene family that are assocuated with infertility and increased cancer predisposition, which is linked to the human cancer syndrome hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal cancer (HNPCC) or Lynch syndrome. Generation of pre-clinical models for colorectal cancer and infertility and development of therapeutic protocols.
