Professional Interests

My main domain of interest is the study of the structure/function relationships in ion channels. In particular, In investigate the mechanisms of activation of the neuronal GABAA receptors by general anesthetics such as propofol. To this end, I use elctrophysiological techniques such as two electrodes voltage clamp and patch clamp.
