Ira Richmond Abbott, III, M.D.
Professional Interests
Dr Abbott has a subspecialty interest in pediatric neurosurgery and is board certified in this subspecialty by the American Board of Pediatric Neurological Surgery. Additionally he has extensive experience in the treatment of hydrocephalus, spinal cord tumors and peripheral nerve disorders. He currently serves as the Chairperson of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons/Congress of Neurological Surgeons Joint Section on Pediatric Neurosurgery, Chairman-Elect of the International Society for Pediaric Neurosurgeons, and Chairman of the Credentialing Committee of the American Board of Pediatric Neurological Surgeons.
