Professional Interests

Dr. Bernard Wyszynski, M.D., is the Impatient Director and Unit Chief of the Inpatient Psychiatry Unit at Montefiore Medical Center. He received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania and completed his residency in neurology and psychiatry at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York City.

He specializes in dealing with the behavioral and emotional aspect of neurology and psychiatry. He enjoys teaching residents about those topics and helping patients understand their diagnosis. His clinical interests lie in patient material – what brain functioning tells us about behavioral and emotional problems. He specializes with treatments for depression, psychotic disorders, anxiety problems and disorders, deregulation, and psychopharmacologic medications.
