Mimi McEvoy is Co-Director of the Introduction to Clinical Medicine (ICM) Program at Einstein medical school.
Ms. McEvoy received her undergraduate nursing training at Seton Hall University and earned a graduate degree in education from Columbia University, Teachers College. Her interests in medical education include assessing clinical reasoning abilities of pre-clerkship medical students. She also teaches communication skills in the ICM Program.
In the past, Ms. McEvoy has developed curricula surrounding the topic of spirituality and received funding to study methodologies to assess students’ ability to address a patient's spiritual needs,particularly during an acute health care crisis. She has several publications in this area.
Ms. McEvoy serves as one of the Chapter Advisors of the Gold Humanism Honor Society, and was inducted into the Society in 2011.
