Assistant Professor, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences
Dr. Amanda Zayde is a licensed clinical psychologist at the Child Outpatient Psychiatry Department at Montefiore Medical Center Wakefield Division where she specializes in the treatment of children and adolescents; she is also a clinical and administrative supervisor for predoctoral psychology interns and third year medical students. Dr. Zayde received her Psy.D. from the George Washington University and completed her internship and postdoctoral training at the Yale University School of Medicine. Her areas of clinical and research interest include using mentalization-based parenting interventions to interrupt the intergenerational transmission of trauma, developmental psychopathology and attachment theory, and the assessment and treatment of young adults. Dr. Zayde is currently on the executive committee of the Emerging Adulthood Special Interest Group of Division 53 of the American Psychological Association.
