Professional Interests

Sarah E. Vollbracht, MD is an Assistant Professor of Neurology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Vollbracht earned her bachelor of arts degree from Yale University and her medical degree from New York University School of Medicine. She completed her internship in internal medicine at Beth Israel Medical Center and her neurology residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center, where she also served as a chief resident. She subsequently completed a fellowship in Headache Medicine and Facial Pain at the Montefiore Headache Center.

Dr. Vollbracht is a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She is a member of the American Academy of Neurology (AAN), the American Headache Society (AHS), and the International Headache Society (IHS). She is also a member of the Inpatient Headache and Emergency Care special interest section of the AHS and serves as a member of the AHS Ethics Committee. She won an AHS travel award in 2010 and her headache fellowship was funded in part by the AHS/Merck Clinical Fellowship Training Award. She has been an invited reviewer for the highly esteemed peer-reviewed publications Headache and Cephalalgia.

Dr. Vollbracht is committed to education in headache medicine for medical students, residents, and fellows. She has an outpatient clinical practice at the Montefiore Headache Center.
