Professional Interests

Ana Ozdoba, MD is an Assistant Professor for the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Montefiore Medical Center, Albert Eistein College of Medicine. Dr Ozdoba completed her Adult Psychiatry Residency Training as well as a Fellowship in Administrative Psychiatry at Montefiore Hospital/Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She graduated from Temple University School of Medicine and the University of Michigan with a B.A. in Psychology.

Dr Ozdoba is the Director of Quality Improvement and Patient Safety for the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and the Deputy Director of the Adult Psychiatry Residency Training Program.Her academic interests include psychodynamic psychotherapy, cultural psychiatry, resident education and curriculum development and quality improvement and patient safety.  Dr Ozdoba specializes in the psychiatric treatment of the Spanish speaking population of the Bronx, leading a team of Spanish speaking social workers, nurse practitioners, psychologists and psychiatrists in providing culturally sensitve, high quality of care to our community. Dr Ozdoba is the Founder and current Chair of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee for the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. She is nationally involved in the Committee for Diversity and Inclusion of the American Association of Directors of Psychiatry Residency Training.

Dr Ozdoba was the Medical Director of the Adult Outpatient Psychiatry Department at Montefiore Hospital Moses Division, the outpatient clinic for all adult psychiatry residents in their 3rd and 4th years of training and psycholopgy interns. She continues her involvement in teaching and supervising residents in psychodynamic psychotherapy and psychopharmacology as well as serving as a research and QI mentor for trainees. In her past role as Program Director for Ontrack NY, she founded the Ontrack New York Program at Montefiore, Moses Division.

Dr Ozdoba received the Montefiore Staff and Alumni Outstanding House Officer Award in 2008 as well as the Excellence in Teaching Award by the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences in 2017.
