- Laboratory Safety
- The Laboratory Safety Officer assures
general safety, health, and regulatory compliance in our research laboratories.

- Radiation Safety
- The Radiation Safety Officer, in conjunction with the
Radiation Safety Committees (Human Use and Non-Human Use), is responsible for providing
radiation safety in all areas of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

- Fire Safety
- The Fire Safety Officer provides all of our fire safety
services and coordinates our accident investigation program.

- Industrial Hygiene
- The Industrial Hygienist (IH), through objective measurements
and evaluation of the work environment, can determine if workers are being adversely
affected by their surroundings. The IH can measure chemical exposure, noise, dust,
asbestos, ventilation, exposure to microorganisms, and other indoor environmental quality
characteristics as well as evaluate ergonomic issues.

- YU Safety Specialist
- The Safety Specialist extends
AECOM's Safety Programs to the Yeshiva University campus and satellite clinics.
Drawing on a multitude of disciplines the Safety Specialist is a "jack-of-all safety
trades." General knowledge in fire prevention, laboratory safety, asbestos,
infection control, ergonomics, hazardous chemical safety, indoor air quality, radiation
safety and accident, illness and injury reduction is applied to help develop and
disseminate a safety culture throughout the University and related facilities.
