Personal Wellness Program
Einstein students are invited to participate in various stress reduction methods. These methods can help you deal with stress more effectively or help you in teaching patients how to cope with theirs.
Experienced instructors from the tri-state offer classes in meditation, reiki, yoga, tai chi, and qigong. If you are interested in learning more about this program and upcoming wellness events please contact Dr. Kliger (email@example.com or 646.935.2251) for assistance and referral information.
Urgent Care Services
Montefiore Medical Group has an urgent care facility that accepts the Einstein student health insurance.
When you just can't wait to feel better.
When you need more than a first aid kit but less than an emergency room, Montefiore UrgentCare provides high quality care for non-life threatening illness or injuries. Located within the Bronx East Montefiore Medical Group practice at 2300 Westchester Avenue in the Bronx, Montefiore UrgentCare is open 7 days a week, including most holidays to provide prompt, medical attention.
Montefiore Urgent Care provides medical care when your primary doctor is unavailable. We offer walk-in medical treatment with a wide range of on-site services.
Hours: Monday - Friday from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Saturday and Sunday and most holidays from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Typical illness or injuries treated at Montefiore Urgent Care include:
- Allergy and asthma
- Bladder and urinary symptoms
- Coughs, colds and flu
- Upper respiratory infections
- Ear and eye problems
- Muscle aches and pains
- Nausea, diarrhea, vomiting
- Strep and sore throat
- Pain - back, pelvic, stomach
- Skin rashes, bruises & bites
- Sprains and strains

When to contact your primary care doctor
You should contact your regular physician for annual physicals, insurance referrals, medicationrefills, back-to-work clearance or other routine health matters. We recommend that you follow up with your primary care provider on allservices you receive through Urgent Care.
When to go to the emergency room
For serious or life threatening situations, or if you are unsure of where to seek services, call 911 or go to the hospital emergency department.
Typical illness and injuries that should be treated in the emergency room include:
- Coughing up or vomiting blood
- Fractured or broken bones
- Major injury or burns
- Signs of stroke, such as blurred vision, slurred speech
- Suicidal or homicidal feelings
- Uncontrolled pain or bleeding
