WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO APPLY?
- Outstanding undergraduates with a strong background in the sciences (biology, biochemistry, chemistry, physics, bioengineering or chemical engineering, etc.).
- Undergradate students who are completing their junior year. In rare instances, sophomores with strong science backgrounds and/or strong research backgrounds may be considered. Freshman and Seniors (graduating
in Spring/Summer 2013) will not be considered.
- Students must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents.

SURP APPLICATION
The online application for the Summer Undergraduate Research Program is now available. The deadline for completion of the application and receipt of all supporting materials (transcripts and letters of
recommendation) is February 1.

Since admission to the program is very competitive, students are urged to submit their applications as early as possible.
You can track the status of your letters of recommendation via the online appplication system. We will notify you if your transcript has not been received; there is no need to contact us with questions about transcripts.
Due to the overwheling number of applications, we are unable to respond personally to questions regarding your application status. We will notify you by email on or about May 1 if your application is still under consideration for the Summer Undergraduate Research Program.
If accepted, you will need to submit a completed medical form by May 15.
