Bedside Rounds: A Learning Toolbox

Event Description:
This informative and engaging workshop will cover the importance of bedside rounding for the delivery of outstanding patient care and teaching of your learners simultaneously. During this workshop, faculty members will be introduced to techniques for effective bedside teaching of both students/residents. Participants will be able to generate ideas and strategies to promote bedside rounds at their own institution. Clinical educators will not want to miss this workshop! After taking this workshop, participants will: Be able to discuss the benefits and importance of bedside rounds in teaching residents and learners; Be able to identify various bedside teaching methods; Be able to develop a model to include bedside teaching as part of instruction for students/residents.

Target Audience:
Due to space constraints, participation in workshops sponsored by the Office of Faculty Development is limited to individuals with faculty appointments at the medical school. Thank you for understanding.
