Welcome to the Office of Faculty Development, a unit of the
Office of Medical Education. We offer a comprehensive program of free-standing
workshops, workshop series, and full-day seminars designed to assist faculty in
improving their educational and professional skills and furthering their
academic careers. The Office of Faculty Development is directed by Christina M.
Coyle, M.D.,M.S., Assistant Dean for Faculty Development and Professor of
Clinical Medicine. Dr. Coyle works closely with the Faculty Development Task
Force, a group of faculty with a keen interest in faculty development, in
tailoring programs that meet the varied needs of Einstein faculty.
The mission of the Office of Faculty Development is to to improve faculty members’ knowledge and skills in areas relevant to their faculty positions and prepare them for their various roles in education and research.
Our overall vision is to serve the professional and career development needs of faculty at all levels of the academician lifecycle (new recruit, junior, mid-career and senior). Our goal is to align university resources around faculty recruitment, retention, diversity and development.
