Some of our Bioethics courses are open to students who do not yet wish to enroll in the Certificate or M.B.E. program. (Permission of the instructor may be required and will be noted on the course application.) Some students may be considering enrolling in our M.B.E. program; others have a specific interest or need to explore a single aspect of the comprehensive field of bioethics.

Bioethics Mediation (Intensive)

Description: This four-day course is an intensive seminar taught by the national leaders in bioethics mediation. Mediation is a vital tool for managing and resolving conflicts between and among health care staff and families. Mediation helps all parties to articulate their values and acknowledges the perspectives of all participants. The course covers essential techniques through video-taped role plays, brief lectures, exercises and intensive individual feedback.
Prerequisites: Certificate program or instructor permission.
