What is a bias incident?
A bias incident targets an individual based on their age, color, religion, disability (physical or mental), race, ethnicity, national origin, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital status, or veteran status, as identified in the student code of conduct.
Students, faculty and staff at Albert Einstein College of Medicine are expected to respect the rights and dignity of other students, faculty, and staff.
What should you do if you witness or experience a bias incident?
See it? Hear it? Report it. If you witness or experience a bias incident, you may contact the Compliance Hotline at 1(800) 662- 8595 or reporting the matter online at compliance hotline where reports can be made anonymously.
If you are a student looking to report a bias-based incident that happened to you, please contact Yvonne Ramirez, Title IX Officer, or in her absence, Allison Ludwig, Associate Dean for Student Affairs.
