Volunteering with our team is a wonderful
way to learn about the nuances of research with human subjects as well as the
scientific background that goes into the development of new
psychopharmacological intervention. If you are interested in pursuing Clinical
Psychology, Psychiatry or Neuroscience, you can gain valuable experience
volunteering with our team.
There are always tasks to be done in our offices.
Between running patients through visits, managing binders, communicating with
the IRB and maintaining good standing with our sponsors, there is never a dull
moment. As a volunteer, we invite you to read about our studies and formulate a
project that is relevant to your research interests. We hope to provide a
volunteering experience that will enhance your future studies in some area of
psychology. In the past, our volunteers have pursued such projects as devising
new psychometric tests for assessing social cognition in Autism, learning how
to read fMRI data and devising new paradigms in e-prime.
If you are interested in learning more about work
with humans and pharmacological research, email our research coordinator,
Casara Jean Ferretti (firstname.lastname@example.org) with your name, resume, and some
information about yourself. Please include “VOLUNTEER” in the subject line. We prefer to have volunteers who can commit minimum 10 - 15 hours a week, and at least 6 months of time with our program.
