Zev Williams, M.D., Ph.D., FACOG
Director

Zev Williams, M.D. Ph.D., Director of the Program for Early and Recurrent Pregnancy Loss, is a board certified obstetrician gynecologist with specialty training in reproductive endocrinology and infertility.  He received his MD and PhD degrees from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and then trained in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Harvard Medical School’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital and the Massachusetts General Hospital.  Dr. Williams then completed a fellowship Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Weill-Cornell Medical Center. Dr. Williams is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Department of Genetics at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and a Visiting Assistant Professor at Rockefeller University. 

Dr. Williams has published widely and lectured on a national and international basis and is actively engaged in basic and clinical research focused on developing new methods to diagnose causes and treatments for patients suffering with recurrent miscarriages.

 
 
 
Monica Dragoman, M.D.
Family Planning

Dr. Dragoman is the division director of Family Planning in the Department of Ob/Gyn at Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx. After completing her undergraduate studies at John Carroll University in Cleveland, OH, Dr. Dragoman attended Medical School at Medical College of Ohio in Toledo, OH and residency at University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, TX. Dr. Dragoman then did specialized fellowship in family planning at Columbia University.

 
 
 
 
Nerys Benfielf, M.D.
Family Planning

Nerys Benfield is an Assistant Professor at Albert Einstein College of Medicine / Monetfiore Medical center within the Division of Family Planning and Global Women's Health and is a specialist in contraception and abortion. She completed her residency and family planning fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco and her MPH at the University of California, Berkeley. Dr Benfield's research interests include the integration of contraceptive counseling, access, and distribution into medical care for high-risk women both domestically and international, uro-genital fistula, and clinical training and health technologies in low-resource settings.

 
 
 
 
Susan, Klugman, M.D.
Reproductive Genetics

Dr. Klugman is  the Director of the Reproductive Genetics Division within the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Women’s Health, where she oversees  counseling and diagnostic procedures for thousands of women per year.  She has had over twenty years experience as an obstetrician gynecologist in the Bronx and in Westchester county. In addition, she serves as the Clinical Director and Outreach Coordinator for the new Yeshiva University Program for Jewish Genetic Health.

 
 
 
 
Irene Forest
Senior Nurse for PEARL

Irene Forest is a Registered Nurse with over 11 years of experience. She attended nursing school at The Pennsylvania State University, graduating in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science with a major in Nursing. She has worked in Ob/GYN in Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility for five years, with a background in Med/Surg-Oncology. She also serves as an officer in the United States Army Reserve Nurse Corps as a Medical Surgical Nurse.

 
 
 
 
Christine Langlois, M.S.
Senior Research Assistant

Originally from Montreal Canada, Christine graduated in Biotechnology and received a Master degree from the Faculty of Medicine and HealthSciences, Université de Sherbrooke. After working a few years as aResearch assistant in the CIHR Team on the Digestive Epithelium, she joined Dr. Williams' team at the Albert Einstein College of medicine.

 
 
 
 
Piera Gravin
Operations Administrator

Piera Graven graduated from Dutchess Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration. Ms. Graven has been a member of the Montefiore Medical Center since 1992.

 
 
 
 
Monica Oberlander
Nurse Manager

Monica obtained her BSN in Nursing at The University at Albany and her Masters in Nursing from Columbia University . She has worked in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Women’s health for 33 years specializing in Labor and Delivery, Antepartum and Infertility. Monica has been the Nurse manager on Labor Delivery, Antepartum and Infertility where she assisted patients in all stages of loss and bereavement.

 
 
 
 
Taylor Dinatale
Patient Services

Taylor Dinatale graduated from the State University of New York at Purchase with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration and has been a member of the Montefiore Medical Center since June 2009. Her primary role is organizing patient care and coordination of referrals.

 
 
 
 
Michelle Pataky
Reception/Clerical

Ms. Pataky attended York College of Pennsylvania and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration in 2008. She specializes in coordinating patient appointments and serve as a liaison between patient's and clinical staff.

Barbara Donato has been a valued associate of Montefiore since 1995. She specializes in scheduling coordination and assisting patient with insurance coverage.

 
 
 
 
Gloria Dean
Patient Services

Gloria has been with Montefiore Medical Center for almost 3 years. Prior to that, she was in the Finance/Banking sector for over 10 years. In 2009, she attended a Patient Care program at CUNY Technical School and then interned in the Geriatrics unit of New York Presbyterian Hospital. Gloria has extensive experience in all aspects of women’s health currently work with REI-Reproductive Endocrinology, MFM-Maternal Fetal Medicine, Oncology, Gynecology, and Urogynocology Departments
