Tri-State Rett Syndrome Center: Overview

The mission of the Tri-State Rett Syndrome Center at The Children’s Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM) is to provide state-of-the art services for patients with Rett Syndrome through intervention, education and research aimed at effective treatments and cures.  The Center was born out of the optimism brought by the recent scientific proof that even severe symptoms of Rett syndrome can be reversed. The core of our philosophy is our conviction that these experimental results will translate into successful treatments.

We develop and maintain programs, classes, research, and educational symposia which contribute to disease understanding and management and to overall quality of life. Through education and outreach we hope to end the perception that those with Rett Syndrome cannot learn.

Our multidisciplinary team brings together the work of physicians and scientists from CHAM and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University, ensuring that both children and adults with Rett Syndrome receive cutting edge, comprehensive, personalized care.

The Rett Syndrome Center at The Children’s Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM) is the proud central organizer of the Blue Sky Girls.  This is an international, multi-site, ground breaking annual event designed to increase public awareness of Rett Syndrome.
