Clinical Research Team: The multidisciplinary DCMA faculty is currently comprised of Dr. Verghese (Neurology), Dr. Holtzer (Neuropsychology), Dr. Mahoney (Neuropsychology), Dr. Blumen (NeuroImaging), Dr. Bhulani (Neurology), along with research technicians, residents, fellows, and graduate students enrolled in ongoing research projects and clinical electives. Dr. Oh-Park (Rehabilitation Medicine) collaborates with our Division.

The DCMA also has active collaborations with investigators within AECOM and elsewhere in the fields of Geriatrics, Bioengineering, Endocrinology, Genetics, Rehabilitation Medicine, Neuroscience, Neurophysiology, Neuroradiology and Infectious Disease, which provides further opportunities for collaboration and career growth. Research is supported by strong biostatistical services.

New Developments

Verghese Gait Video Geriatrician Joe Verghese explains how subtle changes in gait can identify which patients are at risk for frailty – with the goal of preventing falls and mental decline. Dr. Verghese is chief of geriatrics at Einstein and Montefiore Medical Center and a professor of neurology and of medicine at Einstein.
